Catania Fish Market

What was supposed to be the highlight of my trip turned out to be just a brief interlude in my photo rolls. For me, Sicily during this short trip was meant to be a ‘simple’ exercise in documentation. As I was going to visit various places on the island, I thought I’d choose a theme that could link the different locations in a coherent yet distinct way. Something that could complement or describe a complex picture.

The fish market in Catania was to be the first stop on this itinerary, which would then continue on to Messina, Palermo, the tuna fisheries, and so on.

Unfortunately, it remains simply a collection of photographs which, for the time being, only depict the fish market in Catania.
