Privacy
What personal data does nelbstudios.com collect, why, and how you can manage it. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
Who processes the data?
The data controller is Nelb Rodrigues, a photographer based in Milan. If you have any questions regarding your personal data, please write to hello@nelbstudios.com.
Contact form
When you submit the form on the Contact page, I collect your name, email address, type of project and message. These details are used solely to reply to you and, if we work together, to prepare a quote and the project. The legal basis is your request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
The message is sent by email via Brevo and is saved in the website dashboard. I keep it for as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry and any work that may arise from it, then I delete it. You can ask for it to be deleted earlier at any time.
To stop automated messages, the website checks the IP address from which the message originates and how many messages are sent from the same address within a few minutes. The IP address of blocked attempts is recorded in the website’s technical log. The legal basis for this is the legitimate interest in protecting the website from spam (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I will only collect your email address, so that I can send you new articles from the Journal and updates on my work. This is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). Your email address is stored in Brevo, not in the website’s database. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe, and once you’ve done so, you’ll no longer receive any further emails.
External services
- Hostinger hosts the website and records technical data relating to each visit (IP address, page requested, browser) in the server logs, for security and operational purposes.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) manages the newsletter and sends emails on behalf of the website, including those sent via the contact form.
- Vimeo features videos of some of the work. The player only loads when you press play: from that moment onwards, Vimeo’s privacy policy applies.
- YouTube: Links to videos and channels open YouTube, which applies its own privacy policy.
Statistics and marketing
With your consent, the website uses Google Tag Manager to load two services. Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) tracks visits and page views (Statistics). The Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) measures the results of campaigns on Instagram and Facebook (Marketing). Neither service is loaded until you have made your selection in the banner, and each is only activated if you accept its respective category. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). Both services may process data outside the European Union, subject to the safeguards provided for by the GDPR. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.
Cookies
- nelb_consent (this website): remembers your cookie preferences. Technical, 6 months.
- _ga, _ga_V76H4CGJXX (Google Analytics): tracks visits. Statistics, up to 2 years.
- _fbp, _fbc (Meta): they measure campaigns. Marketing, 3 months.
Technical preferences are also stored in your browser – for example, whether you’ve already closed the newsletter pop-up or signed up – so that it doesn’t show it to you again. You can delete these from your browser settings.
Your rights
You may request to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict its use, to object to its processing, and to receive it in a machine-readable format. If you have given your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Simply write to hello@nelbstudios.com. If you believe your data is being processed incorrectly, you can contact the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Data is not sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes, nor is it used for automated decision-making.
